AI Infrastructure Engineer

About the Role

As an AI Infrastructure Engineer on our Research team, you will build and maintain the infrastructure that propels our engineering efforts. We are looking for individuals with past infra experience that are excited about the role infrastructure will play in unlocking AI-native products.

This role is based in Paris, France. We mainly use an in-person work model, with a flexible work-from-home policy.

Responsibilities

AI Infrastructure is a core enabler of Entropia’s engineering success. In this role, you may work on the following:

• Scalable Model Inference: Architect and implement systems for massively parallelised SLM/LLM inference, enabling large-scale model serving and efficient load-testing of multi-step language model applications.
• Distributed Data Processing: Design and maintain pipelines for ingesting, indexing, and processing massive datasets with millions of complex documents.
• Search and Retrieval: Push the boundaries of large-scale search by optimising retrieval techniques across heterogeneous datasets and vectorstores to enhance speed and accuracy.
• Security & Resilience : Develop robust data pipelines that meet stringent security requirements, ensuring resilience and reliability even under heavy traffic conditions.
• Technical leadership: As a Staff AI Infrastructure Engineer, you will lead long-term, foundational projects within our Engineering team, providing technical direction and mentorship to drive innovation and performance.

Qualifications

Candidates should have 7+ years of experience (post-BS/MS) in infrastructure engineering roles. Additionally, you’ll thrive in this position if you:

• Have a passion for solving complex infrastructure challenges that come with building LLM- and AI-native products.
• Excel at communicating across technical levels, from low-level details to big-picture strategic initiatives.
• Think in terms of scalability, constantly anticipating what’s needed to elevate systems and solutions to the next order of magnitude.
• Maintain a high level of personal drive and efficiency.

The salary for this position will be determined by a combination of market analysis and the candidate's experience and qualifications.
